Kelso's Choice: Conflict Management for Children is a powerful program to help build a vital life skill for young people in today's world. The program philosophy believes that each child is smart and strong enough to resolve conflict. Here at the Ferndale Boys & Girls Club, we are providing members with the training and skills to be their own "conflict managers". Our Early Bird program has been learning this concept and we have seen positive changes and behaviors from our members. Because of the success, Jr. Staff and Torch Club members will be trained in Kelso's Choice March 15-19 at 4pm here at the Ferndale Club. These members will be trained so they can teach the concept to our other Club members in March. We are excited to teach this method to our members and believe it will empower young people with the ability to determine their own behavior and appropriate problem ownership.
